Satsang with Viswa – An invitation to Truth

How to be in a world of opposites without opposition? The answer is not a method nor a philosophy, not Dvaitha nor Advaitha. In simple terms it is only to recognise who you truly are. In reality the very question “how” itself is irrelevant because the fact is that you are not somebody who is trying to live life. When you take yourself to be so and so then alone you seek a method or practice to upgrade your current sense of experience. The simple fact is that you are not an entity that seem to have an individual autonomous existence and you can never be separate from life.

Life needs no method to be.
Once you recognise the Truth, you simply witness life unfold in the most harmonious way. This cannot be grasped by any framework of experience or understanding. Then: How to attain this understanding? It cannot be attained either. It can only be grasped through pure cognition and in pure cognition there is no one to see. If you are open enough to look into the depth of yourself you will irrefutably come to the discovery that you are not somebody who is trying to live life but you are life itself.

When the mind is turned outwards towards the objective world of name and forms we go on seeking happiness or fulfilment through fresh experiences, be it material or spiritual. This pursuit for happiness usually manifests in the human psyche as an urge for acquisition of objects or visiting new places or finding new relationships. However beautiful it be sooner or later the experience wears off and we go on looking for a new experience. Out of ignorance we even tend to cling to the transient experiences and objects of experiences which in itself brings misery. This endless loop of seeking, wanting and fearing is an illusion of time born out of the fundamental assumption that the seeker is separate from Life. Even though majority of human beings on the planet experience life in such a fragmented state it is not the ultimate reality who we are. The fact is that there is no such thing called an individual existence. There is no such thing called past, present or future. Whatever seem to be happening is one happening which only seem divided in the fragmented perception of the ego identity as past present and future. The ego identity ‘I’ itself is a construct of memory and as long as you are perceiving from this imaginary centre you are constantly perceiving through the memory of your experiences. Investigate what is ‘I’. Self enquiry is a powerful tool that cuts through the layers of psychological mind and reveals the timeless Truth of who we are. If you come to the very core of this  moment you come to see that this moment is not a happening. This moment is eternally Here and this moment is none other than You.
To recognise the unity of existence one must be free from the dividing arguing voices of psychological mind. In reality what you are seeking is not even an inch away from you. The very seeking itself is what is in the way and only when the forest of concepts have burned down one come to see where one already is. The very frame work of the seeker is what obliterates the obvious and creates an illusory journey in time. How can you take time to discover timeless? When we take ourselves to be the body mind then whatever the body and the mind experiences becomes a measurement of who we are. The identification with body mind brings misery and we feel tossed up and down by the ever changing currents of life. Being unaware of our true nature we mistake life to be a psychological drama and live in fear and doubt. All misery is born out of ignorance of ones true nature. All fear is born out of conflict. The root of conflict is ‘I’. Untill unless we wake up from the imagination of illusory identity and self image we cannot be free from the play of opposites. The very belief in the psychological identity, the ‘I’ gives rise to the false sense of individual existence and the very key to be free from this idea is to recognise the unreality of who you take yourself to be.
Truth is never hidden. It only appears hidden due to strength of belief nurtured through human conditioning. If we are to be free in this fleeting dream of time we must discern what is time and what is life – What you are not and what you are.Self enquiry is a powerful tool that cuts through the layers of psychological mind revealing the essential nature of oneself. Through sincere investigation we may uncover the veil of persona and discover what is already here.
The Sanskrit word ‘Satsangh’ literally means: to be in the company of The Truth. In Indian spiritual tradition of Yoga ‘Satsangh’ forms a powerful element of meditation through which the mind is turned inwards and focused directly to the Source. In Satsangh we come together with an earnest heart and enquire into the depth of oneself. Viswa gives Satsanghs in the line of self enquiry which is a direct exploration into the fundamental nature of who we are. The sessions start with a brief discourse following which participants are welcome to share any questions.
In response to the question “what we can expect from Satsangh?” Viswa replies: “I have nothing to sell, nothing to convince any one. So don’t come with any expectations. You will not gain anything from realising the Truth. All I am saying is that the psychological experience of time is a multi dimensional dream. Only when you are awake in the dream you come to see that it is a dream. Otherwise you are dreaming that you are wake. In fact the dream is enjoyable only if you are awake in the dream.”
